TVTP Regional Program Manager

As a Program Manager of the Bay Area UASI, Ms. Traversaro is responsible for region-wide leadership and administration of the Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Program (TVTP).

Previously, Ms. Traversaro was the Deputy Director of San Francisco’s Department of Emergency Management leading the initial response phase of the COVID-19 Pandemic in support of Public Health.  Ms. Traversaro also led the Emergency Preparedness element for the Bay Area Rapid Transit, was appointed as the Regional Administrator for the Coastal Region for the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services for several years, and was the Superintendent of the California Specialized Training Institute. Periodically, Ms. Traversaro teaches for USC in the Sol Price School of Public Policy.

Ms. Traversaro earned a BS in Economics from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and has been a Certified Emergency Manager for over 15 years. Ms. Traversaro worked in a variety of leadership roles in major disasters and was formally recognized for her public service by the State Senate and County Boards of Supervisors.  Congressman Mike Thompson awarded Ms. Traversaro the Public Safety Hero of the Year award for her extraordinary leadership during the response and recovery efforts of the 2017 North Bay Fires. Ms. Traversaro’s father and grandfather both worked for the San Francisco Fire Department, her uncle worked for the San Francisco Police Department, and she has an identical twin sister who teaches piano lessons in San Francisco.
